More and more research shows that a wide variety of people enter the health care system with common conditions (e.g., chronic conditions, mental health issues, heart disease, and substance use) that can be traced to recent and past trauma.

Leigh Kimberg, MD, of the UCSF School of Medicine will lead a training on Trauma informed Primary Care which aims to educated providers on how to better recognize and support patients experiencing trauma, as well as help providers cope with the psychological impacts of caring for such individuals.
