Leadership Starts with Leading Yourself: Gaining Self-Awareness Through the MBTI

Mission Hall

The Myers Briggs Type Indicator is one of the most widely used personality inventories in the world. In this two-hour workshop, we will discuss the definitions and individual preferences for the four MBTI dichotomies and how one can recognize these characteristics in themselves and others.

At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Describe the essential elements of psychological type and your own MBTI® results
  • Apply type to communication, information needs, decision-making, and organization
  • Identify ways to “flex” your type to improve effectiveness

During this workshop, participants will:

  • explore strategies to enhance working with different preferences and identify ways to stretch oneself as a leader.
  • participate in interactive activities to highlight the ways that different types may approach situations that are common in medicine.
