Dr. Kaplan has served as director of the Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences at NIH, Chief Science Officer at AHRQ, Chair of the Department of Health Services at UCLA and Chair of the Dept. of Family and Preventive Medicine at UCSD. He is currently Adjunct Professor and Research Director of the Clinical Excellence Research Center (CERC) at Stanford University.
