We will be joined by immigration lawyers Chelsea Haley Nelson and Laurel Thayer who practice immigration and nationality law, with a particular emphasis on complex removal defense, criminal and detention issues, LGBT applications, and family based cases.
The session will provide overview of the constitutional rights that immigrants have and how they can best protect themselves when they encounter ICE. The second half of the training is to teach US citizens to be legal observers during ICE raids.
